Global ERM Webcast AP Track 実施される。January 22 2013


恒例のERM Webinarは、今年度は、昨日1月22日の午前10:00から世界中とネットでつないで英語で実況中継オンラインで実施されました。金融庁の竹内補佐が最初のスピーカーとなられ、私が司会を務めさせていただきましたが、お陰様で無事に終了することができました。情報発信の会議室として使ったのは、虎ノ門 城山トラストタワーにある貸し会議室でした。そこにあらゆる電子機器が設置され、音声と画像が世界に向けてネットで発信されました。金融庁からは、竹内補佐の他にリスク管理の専門の方が2名参加された。画像は、テレビのビデオ画面にも出せるようにパソコンと接続されていたので、大きく見ることができました。

プログラムの内容は、ERMに関する各国の規制で統一しました。

スピーカーの皆さんの肩書と簡単な略歴は次のとおりです。

Hideki Takeuchi, CPA
Deputy Director for Insurance Business Division
Financial Services Agency

Takeuchi joined the Financial Services Agency in July 2011. His main role is the insurance supervision from accounting perspectives. He is also a member of the IAIS accounting and auditing issues sub-committee. He joined an accounting firm in 1998, and had audited many insurance companies until June 2011.His professional experience includes accounting standards and practice for insurance companies. The Financial Services Agency is considering an implementation of new solvency regime based on market-consistent valuations, and he is involved into this project.

 

Wan Saifulrizal Wan Ismail, FIA, FASM
Director, Risk Consulting & Software
Towers Watson

Ismail has extensive experience in Malaysia’s insurance and takaful industry. Ismail joined Towers Watson in September 2011 and prior to this, was the deputy director/actuary in the insurance & takaful supervision department of Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).

In his supervisory role at BNM, Ismail had responsibilities including setting supervisory strategy, including recommending supervisory ratings for companies, ensuring rectification measures to address areas of weakness were carried out according to plan, review of actuarial related submissions, and managing/advising on the development of various guidelines including the concept paper on RBC for takaful, guidelines on the takaful operational framework, guidelines on investment-linked business and guidelines on stress testing for insurers and takaful operators.

Ismail is currently leading Towers Watson’s insurance consulting practice in Malaysia, and since joining the company has been involved in a variety of client assignments including market research, M&A, and ICAAP and risk management framework review. He is also a facilitator for the Risk Management Module for Insurance and Takaful Companies under the financial institution director’s education program.

Wai Yi Lee
Deputy Director, Insurance Department

Wai Yi has worked with the MAS for more than eight years. She started heading a newly formed division, supervisory analytics division, within the insurance department in MAS in the beginning of 2011. Her role involves reviewing the risk-based capital framework for insurers in Singapore, conducting stress-testing on insurers, monitoring the macroeconomic inter-linkages between insurance and other financial sectors and providing other forms of actuarial and analytics support to the insurance supervisors within MAS.

Prior to this, Wai Yi was responsible for leading a team of officers in supervising a portfolio of direct life and composite insurers in Singapore. She was, and continues to be, actively involved in a number of projects such as enhancing the policy owners’ protection scheme and insurance resolution framework in Singapore, as well as the governance and disclosure framework for participating life insurance policies.
